Turn your workout clothes inside-out. Wash them in cold water possible after every use. Sweat, skin cells and salt are primary sources of bacteria. Washing immediately after use is the best way to get rid of the bacteria that makes them smelly or hang them up which will prevent odour causing bacteria from growing. Don’t use extra detergents when you are washing your used activewear. Using extra detergent will create a layer of build-up in your clothes that doesn’t wash out. So, using more detergents is actually a bad idea for synthetic fabrics. Skip the fabric softener as they damage the flexible fabric. Instead of fabric softener you can use baking soda and lemon juice as a solution.
